HEAR, OH HEAVENS

Hear, oh heavens,

as I speak!

Listen, earth,

to the words from my mouth!

May they fall like rain,

my speech condense like dew,

like light rain on blades of grass,

like showers on growing plants.

I will proclaim Your name, Adonai,

My God, your greatness I'll declare.

Your name I'll proclaim, Strong Tower,

My refuge in trouble, The Rock, who can compare?

I'll sing of Your strength,

sing aloud of Your grace.

in the morning I'll sing;

for You are my fortress, my Father,

yes, You, only You I will praise.

Spirit of Adonai,

God of Israel,

Rock of Israel,

You said,

a ruler over people

must be upright,

ruling in the fear of God;

yes, a ruler over people

must be upright,

upright like the morning light;

like the morning light

at sunrise,

a sunrise on a cloudless day;

like the morning light at sunrise

make the grass sparkle, sparkle,

sparkle after a rain.

I will proclaim Your name, Adonai,

My God, your greatness I'll declare.

Your name I'll proclaim, Strong Tower,

My refuge in trouble, The Rock, who can compare?

I'll sing of Your strength,

sing aloud of Your grace.

in the morning I'll sing;

for You are my fortress, my Father,

yes, You, only You I will praise.

Your work is perfect,

always,

yes, perfectly just are Your ways,

Trustworthy God, Ancient of Days;

You do no wrong,

You are righteous and straight,

Yes, righteous and straight

are Your ways.

So let me live upright,

in fear of You, God;

like the morning light at sunrise

on a cloudless day

make the grass sparkle

after a rain;

Let me live upright,

in fear of You, my God;

I will proclaim Your name, Adonai,

My God, your greatness I'll declare.

Your name I'll proclaim, Strong Tower,

My refuge in trouble, The Rock, who can compare?

I'll sing of Your strength,

sing aloud of Your grace.

in the morning I'll sing;

for You are my fortress, my Father,

yes, You, only You I will praise.

For my house stands firm,

firm with You,

my God —

You made a covenant,

an everlasting covenant

with me -

It is in order,

it is in order;

fully assured;

yes, fully assured.

You'll bring to full growth

all my salvation -

all my salvation

and every desire -

yes, all my salvation

and every desire.

So I want to live upright,

in fear of You, God;

like the morning light at sunrise

on a cloudless day

make the grass sparkle

after a rain -

let me live upright,

in fear of You, my God.

I will proclaim Your name, Adonai,

My God, your greatness I'll declare.

Your name I'll proclaim, Strong Tower,

My refuge in trouble, The Rock, who can compare?

I'll sing of Your strength,

sing aloud of Your grace.

in the morning I'll sing;

for You are my fortress, my Father,

yes, You, only You I will praise.

Amen

Amen

Halleluya

Amen
